My name is Agnes and I sing, I act and I write - in short, I am a storyteller. I create adaptations of ancient tales in a modern fresh light to explore how they interact with each other.
I’m based in Oslo and London and am working on projects in Europe
After graduating with a degree in ancient Latin and Greek, I spent several years creating stories about the ancient world. Over time, I became more fascinated with the performance of texts rather than the texts themselves and returned to university to earn a Masters's degree in theatre and film looking at the ancient world on stage and on screen.
Ancient Rome
I have spent the last six years exploring ancient Roman poets exploring extensively their position in sculpture, film, and culture in the modern world.
Ancient Greece
I wrote my MA on two theatre companies’ engagement with ancient Greek drama to explore the political and artistic fruitfulness and magic of employing ancient theatre practises on the modern stage
Projects
I’ve conducted and participated in numerous workshops and projects focussing on ancient practises for the theatre where I act and assist the director/dramaturg in navigating the journey of the ancient past on stage. I have contacts with theatre and voice practitioners especially in Berlin, Tamil Nadu, Ravenna, London and Oslo which gives me a truly rich international community.
Storyteller
I connect and collaborate with singers/musicians to perform in small concerts in the city. I connect with actors and directors to make short films I or we have written where I give a voice to what it is like to be a young human and woman in today’s world. I participate in competitions so that I can put my work on the court, share my work and widen my exposure.
Today I am acting and singing and writing. I have written a short script in monologue form inspired by memory fantasy and life.
Come explore my multiple vignettes from different ancient Roman myths to see how they may fit with your brand, TV series or short film.
